Two kinds of drywall job
- Repair
- Holes, cracks, nail pops and water-damaged sections, cut back to solid board and textured to match the wall around them.
- New or whole room
- Hanging, taping and finishing a new wall, ceiling, addition or basement, left ready for paint.
Matching the texture and the finish
A patch is only as good as the texture around it, so the match is decided before the quote, not after the sanding. Show us a patch of the existing wall while we are there.
- Knockdown
- The sprayed-and-flattened texture on most newer Utah walls.
- Orange peel
- A finer spray, common on ceilings and rentals.
- Smooth
- No texture at all, which is the least forgiving to blend into.
- Finish level
- How far the taping is carried before paint. We set that with you at the visit, because it depends on the lighting and the paint.
